Hi, I’m Kat Sackett. I believe counseling should be a space where you can show up honestly and feel supported through whatever you are facing. I strive to create an environment where every client feels respected, understood, and encouraged. As Carl Rogers stated, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” I believe counseling provides the support and self-awareness necessary for meaningful growth and healing.
I utilize humanistic and person-centered approaches, recognizing that every individual’s unique experiences, relationships, and strengths shape who they are. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I help clients explore patterns and emotions to promote lasting change. I value authenticity, empathy, and collaboration, and I believe growth begins with feeling genuinely heard.
I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment difficulties, and life transitions, as well as those seeking support for self-esteem, relationships, couples counseling, and faith-related concerns. I am passionate about helping clients build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and increase their confidence.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University. My clinical background includes working with individuals across various life stages using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and multicultural approaches.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy running, being outdoors, and spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs, Niko and Kojo. I feel privileged to walk alongside individuals as they work toward healing and wellness.
