Hi! My name is Johanna and I am in the process of finishing my MA degree in Marriage and
Family Therapy at Wheaton College.
I believe that everyone has the ability to grow, change, and create a life they desire. Hurt,
brokenness, relational strain, and even daily life can make it feel like we are stuck or incapable
of getting better. Therapy is a place for us to try something different, break the patterns that hold
us back, and develop skills that better foster healthy relationships and wellbeing. I emphasize
creating a therapy experience that allows us to collaborate to create a beneficial, safe, and
healing space.
I love working with a variety of ages, stages, backgrounds, families, and struggles. My specialty
is with children and families to help each person in the family unit to better express themselves
and come to a place of healthy functioning and connection. I utilize modalities including
non-directive play therapy, experiential therapy, structural family therapy, and emotion-focused
therapy to create a space to try new things with a sense of safety and respect. It would be my joy and honor to join you in your journey of healing and growth!
