It is thrilling to exercise our free-will and acknowledge our brokenness in the hands of a mighty God as a strength that propels us toward hope, healing and fellowship with our community.
¡Hola y mucho gusto! (Hello and nice to meet you!) I am a second-generation Salvadoran-American, fluent in Spanish and English and grounded in my identity in Christ as a redeemed daughter of God. I received my Master’s degree in counseling with a Latino Mental Health Concentration from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a proud alumni of North Park University where I obtained my Bachelor’s in Arts.
I am honored to serve in the art of listening, encouraging and accompanying folks in their lifespan through the common struggles of grief, church hurt, intercultural issues, trauma and anxiety.
We are not meant to carry burdens alone and struggle in silence. Seeking therapy is a courageous act and I firmly believe that the need for therapy is rooted in 2nd Corinthians 1:4-6 “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ” (New Living Translation).
My approach in therapy is direct, yet grace based; integrating faith, Biblical counsel and prayer as foundations.
It is exciting to discern together how your spirituality, unique gifts, faith, and community foster a healing environment for your soul and mind.
My community, family and husband help me navigate through life; singing, playing with my nephew and niece and cooking are activities that refresh my soul.
It is with an open heart that I say, bienvenid@ (welcome).
