SARA GEORGE, MA ALMFT

Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Elgin office and online via Telehealth

I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College, IL.  I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate through life’s challenges. Among my areas of experience are anxiety, grief, trauma, relational struggles, parenting skills, spirituality, and communication.  My personality is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental.

I believe in safety first and strive to maintain a safe and therapeutic space to work towards healing. My approach to therapy is collaborative and supportive, encouraging clients to be in control of their own narrative, and facilitate clients with identifying needs and setting goals.  I utilize various modalities such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family systems in my work, always keeping the best interest of the client as a top priority. My goal is to help families work towards healthier functioning and have meaningful relationships with one another; and to promote growth in individuals so they can blossom and live their fullest life. I’m happy to integrate faith and spirituality into treatment.

My hobbies include spending time with family, watching movies, and traveling. I enjoy cooking and a weekly Bible study with my women’s group.
