Having earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, my heart has always been inclined towards others. My philosophy for therapy is that without safety, we cannot heal. My goal is that you feel safe with me as we walk through your story. I will challenge you but you will always have control of the experience. Additionally, I use Systems Theory to guide my work. This model suggests that gaining insight on the individual’s family and other social influences will help them better understand themselves. I believe insight gives us the power to restore and maintain our personal wellbeing. Other experience and training I bring to therapy include; Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Mindfulness/grounding techniques.
