IAN ROTHERY, BA

Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

Elgin & Sycamore offices and online via Telehealth

To quote Bill Withers “We all need somebody to lean on.” You don’t need to go through hardships alone, no matter what it is. As a therapist, I offer a space for collaboration, growth, challenges, and connection. Relationships are vitally important to our lives, it would be my pleasure to walk beside you in the challenges that you may face, your family faces, or your significant relationships face. I bring a warm, friendly, and encouraging personality to therapy. I have experience working with people from all walks of life, and all sorts of different backgrounds.

I will work collaboratively with you to address your needs, and work towards a common goal. I think that therapy is a rewarding, challenging, and insightful journey that almost everybody should partake in. I hope that together we can fill life with care, consistency, and compassion.

I am currently working towards my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Wheaton College. I am certified in Prepare and Enrich. I received my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Augustana College. Most of my clinical experience comes from working with incarcerated individuals in group therapy, and couples and families.
